Pie – concert was awesome. Death Angel put on a great show, Testament was decent (Chuck Billy had this weird little light-up lightsaber mic-holder thing he kept playing like a toy guitar, which was extremely goofy-loking) and Anthrax was awesome – they had a ton of energy, the stuff from the new album got the crowd going as well as the old stuff (they played NOTHING from the Bush era,) and Joey sounds great.

I was in the front and in and out of the pit for most of Anthrax’s set, but after “Indians” I had to find somewhere to sit down for a while, because my body suddenly remembered that it’s 36 years old. I didn’t hurt as badly as I expected to the next day, but I couldn’t hear crap for a while.

It is pretty unsettling when Halloween isn’t even over before there are five million Christmas-related commercials on TV, but not enough that I’m going to make a big deal out of it. It’s just something you get used to.

Suck it up, complainers. Commercialism ain’t gonna change just for you.
