This one’s dumb, but I like to think it’s a fun kind of dumb. I initially had the last panel as a beat panel, but didn’t feel this quite worked, and my wife concurred. Dragging out the awkward post-yelling silence after the conclusion of the event seemed like a way to go, and thus became the way I went.
MRS. SHOEBOX’S ASSESSMENT OF TODAY’S STRIP: I dunno. I like it, but you already showed this to me in progress, so I can’t really judge it. Show it to…uh…that guy. Douchebag McNubblynuts.
Oh yeah, I should probably mention that my band, Worm Quartet, covers “Weird Al” Yankovic’s “I’ll Be Mellow When I’m Dead” on the new tribute album “Twenty-Six and a Half,” which you can order here if you’re so inclined.
See you on Friday!

This one made me laugh out loud. Something about the third panel. I didn’t notice the kid saying “Now what?” and I thought you just left it blank.
Welcome back Mrs. Shoebox. You are the pickle on our hamburger platter of comedy.
I loved this one, but I am left wondering what type of sandwich that guy on the left has. Of course, it’s probably because I’m reading this at lunchtime *insert stomach growling noise here*.
@Kaa–I actually like it better with a blank third panel.
I think it’s missing something, a striped cat with a plate of lasagna maybe.
