Not only do I get intimately involved with project management, but my wife and I have spent the last few weeks argu… er, DISCUSSING whether we should do the upstairs window trim or finish out the basement first (and yes, part of the discussion was “but I’m halfway through this, I’d have to move my tools!”). My favorite one for a while.

Oh, man. As someone who deals with failed/troubled IT projects for a living, I laughed out loud at this one, after which I buried my face in my hands. This is a frighteningly wonderful summary of exactly what happens on many large IT projects. ..bruce..

When dealing with Mega-Corporation IT group, you have to wade through layers and layers of PMs to get to somebody that actually knows what the hell is really going on. Of course, they’re the ones doing the actual work too.
