“Stinkchunnel” sounds like something involving vomit and exactly the same orifice you would think of from “stinktunnel”. Yes, I do have a disgusting mind. Sometimes I hate myself because of it.

Okay I feel I need to defend myself a little here. I’m not saying I have a problem with lowbrow at all. It just seems like the strip has gone entirely into lying in the gutter territory and never seems inclined to sit back up.

I’m 100% cool with low-brow every now and then as long as it’s not ALL there is. If there’s some more witty things and some stinktunnel is great. Just don’t get lazy and rely just on shock. We have the Government for that.

Gotta disagree with Anodyneghost. I liked it when Rob was running it, certainly, and every now and then he knocked one out of the park — the non-colluding pear is still one of my all-time favorites — but since you took over I’m loving nearly every strip. This one’s a gigglefest. Fuckmeat indeed!

You know, it occurs to me that some of you ought to take a listen to some of Tim’s music (especially the stuff he did with Baldbox, his partnership with Rob) to get a feel for where he goes with all this. Their senses of humor are seemingly different, but disturbingly compatible.

I have to say I’ve found this strip considerably less funny since Rob left. It used to be clever and funny, even when he was dealing with fart jokes. Now it’s just unfortunate and sad.

The term “softie” is far from applicable to me. But what I liked about Balder’s work in the first place was it was intellectual and clever, a fresh relief from the mundane humor rated on shock value that can be found anywhere. So I, for one, hope this does not represent a continuing trend.

Make sure to keep it classy for a few strips at least, if only to keep from scaring off the softies..
