I’ve used the “evil overlord performing human resource management” a couple of times before, but it keeps being funny to me. My other comic, Erfworld, started as an attempt to bring all of my Fantasy-related strips into the same universe and tell a story with them. I could definitely see the narrator here being the same guy from this strip and this strip, a character concept that provided the starting point for Stanley the Plaid. Stanley definitely grew in a different direction, though.
