It’s been a long time since I got my degree in English now, but I never miss a chance to take a shot at the Communications majors. Ah, Communications. Is it a Business degree with the math removed, or an English degree with the soul removed?
I feel certain it’s not what I suggest in this strip, by the sheer fact that I have yet to be turned into a newt.
Also, the thing about the uranium was true in 2004 but they were supposed to be replacing the reactor fuel in the 8 or so left. I can’t find any info about whether or not they did, and I don’t care to trip any NSA alerts by searching too heavily on “nuclear reactor” and “weapons grade uranium.” O_o

At least one Indiana University student did major in magic (like, legerdemain) around, I think, 2006. His capstone involved at least one public performance. IUB has an “independent study” program. Its most famous graduate is Will Shortz, who designed his own major in enigmatology.
As for Communications: isn’t it the academic analysis of contemporary culture? (whereas English and “traditional humanities” leave the contentious present out of their domain)
