Sometimes when I start with a clip which is this generic, I just hit the Random Page button on Wikipedia* to generate some oddball associations and get headed down some kind of track. In this case, I hit a region of Kenya and started thinking about safaris, which would have been big in this time period for this class of people, judging by the art.
How I got from “How was your safari?” to this, I am not sure, and I’m a bit scared to find out.
*Yes, I still have huge hot-button issues with Wikipedia’s notability policies and the editorial abuse thereof. Wikipedia does retain many uses, and this is one. But there are a vast number of other uses it has lost because it is crippled by an autoimmune disease.

I’ve used the Random Page feature on Wikipedia for generating unusual random names, for mix CDs and the like. I once created a song called “Queeg” by this method.
Everyone needs a hobby…?
