I just have too many “Businessman Talking” type strips, to keep naming them similarly.

This, like many of the others which use similar clips, was written as a clipless script.  I was really looking for two guys in a bar, and was tempted to re-use Chris Battey’s guest art from Guys At Bar (which incidentally holds the distinction of Most Linked-to Strip in the archives).

When I found this art, I did alter the dialogue to make the straight-man more depressed and sensitive, and the foil more snarky.  The script grew into the art, as the clipless ones usually do.
