Someone recently commented that PartiallyClips is changing, and I can’t disagree.  This clip would have worked without adding the house, and a year or two ago I would have left it with just the guy.  But adding the house is visual shorthand for the situation, and this way the reader will spend more mindshare on the joke and less on figuring out the situation.  When the situation is the joke, that’s when ambiguity in the clip art works for me.  In this one, it was working against.
