I guess it would have been difficult to write to this clip without it coming out sounding a lot like the Clams one. This joke has a hard time walking in that one’s shoes.
However, I’m going for more steamlined gags lately, so it’s really not meant to. ”Clams” has 19 separate speech balloons.
The one thing I’m a little worried about is that people are going to interpret this as some kind of Culture of Life argument or similar garbage. Nuh uh. If anyone feels they need to know my “position” on sodomy…hmmm.
I give it one thumb up.
It’s not often that your commentaries have punch lines, and it’s even more rare for those commentary punch lines to make me laugh out loud, but that one had me laugh so suddenly that had I been sipping a drink, it would have ended up in my sinuses and on my keyboard.
