This guest art is by my friend Ben Thompson of Townies, who really did an incredible job making art that fit my script, despite not seeing the script. We talked it over on IM, and in the end I ended up changing the witness’ eye a little tiny bit, like I’ve changed eyes in 3 other guest art pieces so far. I never realized how critical eye position is to the way I write.
As for the strip itself, all I can say is, if there isn’t a “somebody’s obsessing on grammar” joke every 100 strips or so, this wouldn’t be PartiallyClips.

I gotta ask: Why on earth didn’t you just type “Explosive-sniffing dog” and “Explosive sniffing-dog” in the first panel instead of all that space and hyphen nonsense? I had to read it over a couple of times and even then I was under the impression for quite a while that the strip had something to do with NASA.
Ah, I see now that the punchline kind of depends on it. Still rather awkward, though.
Yeah, I kept reading it that it is a space dog. For some time I thought it will even be the punchline.
