The above, of course, is a fictionalized account, the voice a comic persona.  Always have to worry about using a first-person narrator in one of these things.
 
No, I was never home schooled.  I rode the bus.  Short buses, long buses, make jokes if you must, I rode them all.  The true story of my public education could fill volumes.  Of educational texts.  I’ll just make note of the fact that I went to seven different elementary schools.  Malajusted?  Moi?  Hyperadjusted, maybe.  I have an unhealthy need for constant change and a fear of stagnation.
