Whenever I struggle with a clip for a long time and finally settle on a gag, it feels like I have forced it.  I probably spent 100 times the amount of time thinking of this one as I did the last one (Frankenstein’s Monster), and for all that work, I still don’t think it’s as funny. 

Still, there’s something to this one.  I think a true-moment joke emerged from what I saw a stiff and artificial process of writing.  But it’s hard for me to evaluate a strip when the birth is that difficult; I could be fooling myself.
