This one was sort of a difficult birth.  I sat there at the table at SPX with Chris and Barb of Fragile Gravity and they brainstormed with me about it for a while.  They got to participate in the part where I think of and throw out about 50 bad ideas on average per strip.  I kept staring and Chris and saying, “Pioneer.  This is a Pioneer.  Pi-o-neeeeeer.”  As if saying it more slowly would reveal the hidden joke.  Drove him nuts.

They missed the part where I pick a couple of the bad ideas off the floor and twist them around a bit to find a way to fit, glue, or simply force them together.  I’ll be curious to hear what they think of this gag I eventually came up with.
