I know. I know. WTF?
I wanted to take this one dark, believe me. I rarely get to work with a clip that is as sweet and innocent as this. The possibilities for corrupting it seemed limitless.
But somehow, in the course of writing it I ended up with this dialogue. Now, I wouldn’t post it if I didn’t think it was funny, but it’s not really the kind of stuff you’ve come to expect out of this strip. It’s one of a select few I’ve done which would be at home on the comics page of a mainstream daily newspaper.
Ah, what the hell. You have to do the unexpected from time to time. I promise this doesn’t signal a change to “tame” humor.

how cute!!!
)))))))))))))))
And now that the dog knows, the Feline Mafia will have to bump him off. Dark enough?
It is a quite interesting idea – take a quite image and write something unpleasant. The contrast will bork better than a corresponding illustration. Thanks a lot for sharing this.
Awww, it’s so adorable! Especially with the dialogue!
This works, we’d expect something dark from you so the fact that it’s not is a twist.
