I don’t know if I should even call this one “Old Cowboys.”  There are 8 or 10 very large states where many people just wear cowboy hats as a matter of course, and I picture these guys as being a part of that set.  Probably all of them own pickup trucks but I picture them as more likely to run a hardware store than a ranch.

I like how this strip came out, but a “dead wife joke” even once in every 70-80 strips probably still constitutes a developing theme.  I should do what I can to avoid any more of them.
