Ugh, I’m stealing from farther back in my own joke history. I mean, it’s not a bad gag, but I think this was funnier when I actually said it in real life. I’ve gotta stop doing that. Time to pay more attention to writing strips in advance of my deadlines.

Odd. Thinking back, so many comments I have made here were relevant to the next strip; This one happened to be two strips after (Clown Trauma, under books that might [not] be good for children), but the idea remains.
Not a bad gag, but also not much of one. Panel 2, bubbles 1 and 3 were slightly humorous, but nothing new, and the rest of it was okay. Well, the rest of the strip so far has been quite humorous, and a rare flat strip is far from unacceptable (not that any negative opinion I have personally should matter much at all to you, or that you should need my praise or acceptance).
How do you stop a clown from laughing?
Hit him in the face with an axe.
