So much clip art is in an antique style, because it originally ran in some periodical in the early 1900s or before, and has passed into the public domain.  I like the old style art, but I keep feeling obligated to set it in the time period.  I guess I hoped that this is generic enough to support contemporary dialog, but as I read it again, I am really not sure.

    I thought it was fine.

    But, Kneely von Prunerson, you forget that while “like” is the rule of thumb for a simile (and synonyms thereof are the rule), similes and analogies are not mutually exclusive! Clippy MacStandish is right* to ignore your prattling on.
