For anyone who may be scratching their head over this one, go visit Jump the Shark. I thought this was a pretty universal reference by now, but somebody I consider very internet-savvy didn’t get it, so now I’m worried.
So anyway, I can’t believe I did this strip! I never wanted to break frame or “break the fourth wall” and I had never expected to (if you don’t understand that go here). I never wanted to do comics that were even remotely serialized. I dropped another F-bomb, to boot. Repairs will be necessary.
This one is unlikely ever to see print. It’s really close to being an in-joke, which would be breaking another rule. If you hated this one, I’m sorry. I think there are people who will love it, though. Let me know what you think.
I liked it, but it probably ought not be part of a compilation. It works well once, especially with the author’s commentary from previous strips (which I hope you keep in the compilations), but would likely suffer in rereadings and especially when printed in a publication meant to offer easy repeated readings.
