I started out trying to write a parody of cowboy poetry, and realized I couldn’t do it. It’s such a straightforward, honest and humble medium that you can’t make fun of it without just being mean.
This is one of those ones that took days to write and I agonized over every word.
AHAHAHAHA. This brings me joy.
And instead of cowboy poetry you ended up with something that could nearly have been written about my relatives. Genius.
